The Child Find and Infant Toddler Programs 3/29/2010
What is the Child Find Program?
The Child Find program locates children from birth to age 3 who may be at risk for developmental delay. The program can help determine if your child is learning, thinking, moving, and growing at the right pace. Children learn most rapidly during their first 3 years of life. Early intervention has a definite, long-lasting impact on how a child develops, learns, and regulates their emotions. Early Intervention helps a child reach their full potential and plays an important role in healthy development.
Child Find services are free and confidential. Child Find services are performed by trained health care professionals who are experienced in testing child development. The Child Find Program can provide developmental screening, monitoring, and referrals for appropriate developmental services. If a child’s developmental screening shows areas of concern of delay, the child then qualifies for the Infant Toddler Program.
