The following are senior service organizations that are located in Idaho or serve the State of Idaho.
AARP– http://www.aarp.org/states/id The American Association of retired Persons (AARP) is a United States-based non-government organization dedicated to the interests of persons aged 50 and over. AARP is the leading nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization for people age 50 and over in the United States. AARP is widely known for defending and advancing the interests of aging populations through a multitude of initiatives, including lobbying efforts at the state and national governmental level, an activity permitted by its 501(c)(4) status. AARP is non-partisan and does not support, oppose or give money to any candidates or political parties.

The Idaho Commission on Aging (ICOA) is the sole state agency designated under the Older Americans Act to administer programs and services for Idahoans 60 years of age and older.

The people at Aging Connections are ready to help older individuals and their families explore issues about eldercare, including, in-home services, social needs, and financing options. Many people do not know what options are available when an older person needs more help to stay safe at home. Some fear being able to afford the services that help them to remain at home. Aging Connections can help in these situations. Aging Connections provides services in the five northern counties of Idaho: Boundary, Bonner, Kootenai, Benewah and Shoshone. Offices are located in Coeur d’Alene, Kellogg and Sandpoint.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is a volunteer program designed especially for people over 55. A person's interests and expertise will be matched with all types of community projects. Through RSVP, a person can make new friends while contributing time to make the community a better place for everyone.
