What is Community Mapping?
It is a project spearheaded by Governor Risch, First Lady Vicki Risch, and the Executive Office for Families and Children and the Governor’s Coordinating Council for Families and Children. We are kicking off the first phase of this campaign by identifying and connecting programs that serve families and children in Idaho. This two-week kick off is focused on increasing the number of programs registered on the 2-1-1 Idaho CareLine so they are more readily available for the citizens of Idaho.
How does it benefit your program?
-
Save staff and volunteer time by using the 2-1-1 database to identify resources for your clients.
-
Other service providers can find you!
-
It’s a great way to get connected and reach people who don’t know about your program or services yet.
-
Bilingual operators are available and they do “warm referrals” which means they get you on the line before transferring a client.
Register today, talk to your partners about registering today. If families and children in Idaho can’t find you, they can’t use your valuable resources.
